International Biennial Pastel is a competition organized for professional artists from home and abroad. The purpose of the contest is to show the possibilities of contemporary artistic creation in this technique of painting and creativity to confront artists from different countries and cultures.

1st The competition is open to professional artists from home and abroad and students of final year university arts. Participation is free of charge.
2nd Each artist may submit up to 3 works contest your own, created in 2011-2013, which were not issued so far nor rewarded. Third in the competition will be allowed work done in the technique of dry and oily pastel, on one level (excludes diptychs, triptychs, etc., and collage and other mixed techniques). Fourth new feature this year is the possibility of sending an animated film using pastel technique. Length up to 3 min., Recorded in DVD format, playback format information should be included on the media.
5th framed works must be submitted only in the Mat-neutral color (gray, cream, white) or without passe- Mat in size 100 × 70 and / or 50 × 70 cm.
6th Exhibition of works will be exhibited in the uniform fittings, measuring 100 × 70 and 50 × 70 cm, provided by the organizers.
7th works for the exhibition contest jury will qualify on the basis of qualifications submitted photographs traditional format of 13 × 18 cm or in digital form on a CD or DVD in JPG or TIFF format, 300 dpi, CMYK.
Eighth Added reproductions of works should be described in such a way that their identification: name, title, technique, date of creation, size.
Note: The organizers do not return submitted materials, they remain in the competition documentation.
9th International emerge winners of the competition jury after hearing the original classified work. The jury has the right to reject any classified work if it finds the blatant non-compliance with the rules of the competition (eg other work, technique or dimension). Jury decisions are final and indisputable.
10th Until 28 February 2013 to submit an application form clearly filled with 3 reproductions of the work, the author photo and biographical note of up to 500 characters. (Postmark). 11th to 31 March 2013 , the artists will be notified of the results of the deliberations of the Jury Qualification. List at the exhibition will be announced on the website
12th until 15 April 2013 to submit classified work without frames and glass on the label imprint, well protected from damage. The costs of providing work for the competition, and their possible transport insurance lies with the authors.
13th On 6 September 2013 at 17.30 will publish the results of the competition and awards ceremony during the opening ceremony of the winners of the VI International Biennial Pastel in BWA Gallery of Modern Art in New Sacz SOKOL Street.Kosciuszko 34th List of winners at the exhibition will be posted on the website www.biennalepasteli.mnet.pl.
14th The organizers reserve the right to disseminate the submitted works and photographs in the media and documentation in the form of newsletters, catalogs, videotapes and films for promotional events without paying royalties.
15th prize-winning works (1 piece) remain the property of the organizers. This does not include work awarded.
16th edition of the directory is expected with reproductions of works selected for the exhibition. Each participant will receive one free copy and a poster.
17th to the end of April 2014, the organizers reserve the right to dispose of the exhibition in order to present it in Krakow, Bratislava, and

Application SIC 2013
Interested candidates in SIC should submit their application before January 7th, 2013. The SIC team will review the applications and invite finalists for interview by January 17th / 18th 2013. Each year SIC is open to a maximum of 10 participants. SIC is especially interested in project proposals in which artistic development goes together with antropological influences.

Submissions for the Sehsüchte Festival 2013 are now open Thank you for your interest in submitting your film to the 2013 Sehsüchte Film Festival. This year‘s deadline for the submission is 31st January
2013 (date of receipt).
Submissions are open to films and videos produced between 2012 and 2013 by film students or amateur filmmakers. Any submitted film may have been shown at any other festival in the world, no festival premiere status required. The Festival does not charge a submission fee. The shipment of the registration documents and the preview copy to the festival is at the applicantʼs expense. Preview copies and (in case the film is selected for the festival program also screening copies) of non-english films have to come with English subtitles.
